Lakepoint gets new cafe

A new addition to the shopping centre at Lakepoint, Mullingar, officially opened last Thursday morning.

The Brentwood Coffee outlet, next door to the cinema, was busy within minutes of the ribbon cutting, performed by Cllr Bill Collentine, mayor of Mullingar, and Enrika Mileryate, manager.

Cllr Collentine thanked Enrika and the team at the new outlet for inviting him to perform the honours, and he said the cafe would be a welcome addition to Lakepoint Shopping Centre.

“They’re new in Mullingar and it’s great to see them coming in. I think it’s badly needed here. It’s a great time to be opening, and a brave time to be opening, and I wish them well.”

In no time the Brentwood team were busy behind the counter and serving complimentary tea, coffee and snacks to the first customers.

A spokesperson for the company said they were delighted to have set up in Mullingar and they were looking forward to establishing and developing a relationship with the town and its people.
