Libraries mark Heritage Week with online activities

This year, Westmeath Libraries has announced a range of online activities to mark Heritage Week. These activities include virtual tours, talks and exhibitions.

Postcards from America - The Aidan Heavey Collection in Westmeath Library holds a special collection of postcards sent by Douglas Hyde to his daughters whilst he toured America. A snapshot of this collection will be available to view as an online video from 10 am on www.facebook.com/westmeathlibrary

Spark of Genius

Discover who made Westmeath great! Every day we will be releasing a video at 1 pm which highlights the contribution of artists, musicians, explorers, writers and actors to our cultural heritage. Available on www.facebook.com/westmeathlibrary

The Schools Collection Castlepollard Library will present a Digital Exhibition from the National Folklore Collection focusing on local schools. Contact 044 933 2199 for further details about visiting the library to see the exhibition.
