Troy opens Enterprise Ireland’s Export Navigator Series
Irish businesses are urged to look to kickstarting their export journey with Enterprise Ireland support
Enterprise Ireland today kicked off its series of Exporter Navigator webinars for Irish businesses outlining the importance of broadening Ireland’s exporting base of companies and the opportunities and supports available for companies to achieve this goal.
The webinar series covering a range of specific industries feature client case studies, tutelage around core export must-haves, video clips as well as Q&A sessions on exporter development pillars such as business planning, sales and marketing, operations, finance, innovation and people.
Following this morning’s session, Minister of State with responsibility for Trade Promotion, Digital and Company Regulation, Robert Troy TD said: “On the back of strong export results in 2019, many Enterprise Ireland companies started out this year in a resilient position. Unfortunately, due to the dual challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and Brexit, this resilience is being tested.
“Supporting Irish companies to grow their business, navigate the challenges of Covid-19 and Brexit, while seizing the international exporting opportunities is of vital importance to my department and a key priority for government.
“From the Sustaining Enterprise Fund, which assists companies with liquidity issues, to initiatives like this Exporter Navigator series, our focus is on helping companies to stabilise, reset and recover.”
Fergus McMahon, manager of Exporter Development and Core Client Relationship at Enterprise Ireland, added: “Despite the changes to the business trading environment, many Irish businesses continue to pivot in response to emerging market needs.
“Agility and innovation are essential as we seek to trade successfully in a radically changed world. Growing your business through exporting is an important step to strengthen and broaden your sales pipeline and build future resilience into your business.
“Enterprise Ireland is here to guide businesses at all stages of the exporting journey and the network of forty overseas offices can help you succeed by providing access to specialist market intelligence on the emerging market needs, advising on what is required to start selling internationally and connect businesses with buyers across the world.”
