N52 road works and closures mean heavy traffic fortnight in Mullingar ahead
The heavy traffic experienced by motorists across the town of Mullingar this morning was due to works on the N52 between Marlinstown Roundabout and N4 Junction 15.
The Colas Roadbridge Joint Venture (CRJV) have been instructed by Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) to carry out essential pavement works on the N52 between Marlinstown Roundabout and N4 Junction 15.
In order to carry out these works safely, there is a requirement to close the westbound on and off slip on the N4 at Junction 15, and a short section of the N52 between Marlinstown Roundabout and Curraghmore Roundabout.
The works are expected to last two weeks, starting today, Monday October 5, and finishing on Friday October 16.
The road will remain closed during this period, and traffic will be diverted along the R156, Delvin Road and the N4 at Junction 16.
