Dempsey makes festival final, and finishes seventh

Jordan Dempsey made the final of this year’s Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch this afternoon, but was disappointed with his result.

He finished fifth in his semi-final and he started from ninth on the grid for the final.

After the race Jordan said: “Got unlucky there – I gambled on a dry set-up because I thought the track would dry up, but it didn’t, so that was unfortunate and left me struggling for pace.”

He finished the final in seventh.

Jordan will now pick up the pieces this week as the Formula Ford action moves to Silverstone for the Walter Hayes Trophy, which he won last year.
