WATCH: Mesmerising murmurations over Lough Ennell

Colin Hogg kindly sent us in more videos from the many evenings he and James Crombie spent on the shores of Lough Ennell this winter photographing starling murmurations.

Last Tuesday evening Colin and James photographed a murmuration as it momentarily morphed into the shape of a giant bird. Within days the footage they captured had been seen by people all over the world.

In this week's Westmeath Examiner, we talk to geophysics fieldwork technician Colin and professional photographer James, who was recently crowned the Press Photographer of the Year 2021.
