Mammy and Me competition winners announced

Thank you to everyone who entered our Mammy & Me Competition in conjunction with Buckley’s SuperValu, Mullingar.

We received more than 100 entries and these are the winners.

It was very hard to narrow it down as you are all worthy winners.

My My Mam Stella Hayes is one in a zillion,

A selfless mammy, who gives her all for her children,

Never says a bad word about anyone around,

Doesn’t ask for anything, she is so sound.

A rock through tough times, she’s always there,

To listen, to comfort, to cuddle, to care.

Even through lockdown, where we cannot meet,

She’s a leader, doesn’t take a backseat,

Driving us on, although from afar,

There’s no one like her, a pure superstar.

my mam is the pea to my pod, only the two of us, so you never see one without the other. The same goes for the dog – he’s always with us.

This is my Mam, She is the best. Although my Mam should be cocooning during this pandemic, she has continued to mind my six children, even becoming there teacher to do some home-schooling! My husband and I are frontline and essential workers, so had to continue to work throughout the lockdowns. I work in a hospital, so we were all so nervous, but my Mam puts us all first before herself (as always). She deserves this prize and sooo much more. Xx
