Bressie promises new music from The Blizzards

Bressie has revealed new music is on its way from Mullingar band The Blizzards.
Niall Breslin, more commonly known as ‘Bressie’, tweeted the news at the weekend: “new @theblizzards music coming soon”, and he added that it will be in line with their earlier music.
Bressie set up the band in 2004 and it features Dec Murphy (drums), Justin Ryan, Anthony Doran, Louize Carroll (bass) and Aidan Lynch (keyboards).
The Blizzards have had several top 10 singles in the Irish charts including ‘Fantasy’ (2006) and number three track “Trust Me, I’m a Doctor” (2008).
The band took a break in 2009 while Bressie pursued a career as a music producer in London and they came back in 2016.
Their last release was their third studio album ‘The Last Great Algorithm’ in 2019.
The Mullingar man also joked in his tweet about how people have told him that popular social media app ‘TikTok’ is the “future of music”.
The app has been used by aspiring musicians and singers to release music and is responsible for the rising fame of Irish singer Lea Heart.
However, in comments, Bressie also mentioned that he does not think it is the “best way to learn the craft of songwriting”, so they are likely to release their new music the traditional way on radio and CD.
