Katelyn in top 20 junior stylists

Katelyn Rooney, one of the newest recruits to Profile Hair Design Mullingar, has made it through to the fourth round of the Irish Hairdressers Federation (IHF) Star Team 2021, which puts her among the top 20 junior stylists in Ireland 2021.

The Irish Hair Federation ‘Star Team’ was launched in 2013 as a platform to guide the next generation of young hairdressers in the pursuit of excellence. Industry experts mentor the successful candidates as they take part in a 12-month programme, which is an opportunity to work alongside established names while gaining top education and advice from industry experts. Katelyn will be taking part in the fourth round on Sunday July 18 in the Accademia in Dublin.

Katelyn worked with Sabrina Collision, style director and educator at Profile Hair Design, who was her mentor and encouraged her in The IHF Star Team 2021 competition. Annie Mullingan, owner of Profile Hair Design, said: "This is a huge achievement and we cannot wait to see what’s next for Katelyn! All of us here wish her all the best!"
