Heavy rain and thunderstorm warning issued for later today

Met Eireann has issued a weather warning for heavy showers and thunderstorms later today (Monday).

The yellow-level warning is for all twelve counties in Leinster, along with Cavan, Monaghan and Tipperary.

It will be in place from 2pm until 10pm today, with isolated thunderstorms expected and a risk of localised flooding.

The good news is that the rest of the week looks set to be mainly dry, with temperatures rising to the mid-twenties in the latter part of the week.
