Positive development for Marlinstown IDA park – Troy

Consultants have been appointed to construct an advanced manufacturing facility at the Marlinstown IDA Park in Mullingar, Minister of State Robert Troy has confirmed.

The building will be designed to house an industrial enterprise with the promise of substantial job creation.

“As Minister of State at the Department Enterprise, I have been engaged with the IDA’s ‘Driving Recovery and Sustainable Growth Strategy 2021-23’ since the outset and I am pleased to have secured this development for Marlinstown Park,” said Minister Troy.

“In recent weeks I have met Denis Curran, head of Regional Development with the IDA, to discuss this project. I subsequently had the opportunity to meet Martin Shanahan, CEO of the IDA, at the Ardonagh Group announcement, and he confirmed to me that consultants have been appointed to advance the development.

“I’m pleased to see this project advancing at pace, and look forward to the positive impact it will have on Mullingar, and the opportunities which will be created.”

The IDA’s 2021-23 Strategy seeks to capitalise on opportunities to provide multinational companies with solutions to the challenges they face in this difficult global environment. The ambition of this strategy is framed through five interlinked pillars of Growth, Transformation, Regions, Sustainability and Impact.
