High vaccine uptake in Westmeath

Just over 90 per cent of Westmeath people over the age of 12 are fully vaccinated against Covid-19, according to the latest figures from the HSE.

The uptake locally increases in over 18s with 93.4% of people fully vaccinated. Waterford has the highest uptake in the country with 96.6% of over 12s and 99.5% of over 18s fully vaccinated, followed by Carlow (96.4%) with Wexford (95%).

Donegal (81.3% of over 12s) and Monaghan (80.9%) are the counties with the lowest uptakes.
