Multy Lakers receive new jerseys

Training was paused for Multy Lakers basketball teams this week to allow local man, Adrian Bates, on behalf of Frank Keane Volkswagen dealership in Liffey Valley to present the teams with new tops to wear in their forthcoming matches.

There was great excitement at U13 Girls and Boys training at Multy Lakers Junior Basketball Club last week when players received their new training tops, sponsored by Frank Keane Volkswagen Group.

Multy Lakers basketball club caters for players from as young as six upwards.

Lakers basketball is a thriving club, set up in 2014 at Multyfarnham Community Centre, where there is a full-size basketball court and digital time clock – big attractions for basketball teams.

Lakers U13 girls and boys teams are competing in the Midlands Area Basketball Board League. Before the pandemic, they were both were top of the league and are hoping to compete well again in the 2021/22 season.

If you would like to try basketball, go along for a free session: Monday 7-8pm U13 boys; Monday 8-9pm U18 girls social basketball (non competitive, just for fun); Wed 6-7pm U13 girls; Friday 5.30-6.15pm U8s boys and girls, 6.15-7pm U10 boys and girls.
