Women In Business: Ciara Conlon - The Vibe Ireland

The Vibe Ireland was established in 2004 by Ciara Conlon and has become a leading name in the Irish body art industry. Ciara has been piercing since 1999 and is recognised as one of the best piercers in Ireland today. Ciara is the inspiration behind the emergence of The Vibe as a modern professional tattoo and piercing Studio. There are currently two studios, in Mullingar and Sligo.

The Mullingar studio team are three outstanding women who excel in their craft. It is headed up by Sarah, who started piercing at The Vibe in 2016, trained by Ciara, and is now an expert piercer and the manager of the studio.

The Vibe’s resident tattoo artist is Ema, who started tattooing at 18 and has been tattooing for five years. Having been selected by Ciara for her style and creativity, Ema has flourished at The Vibe. Ema specialises in realism and surrealism tattoos and customers now travel from all over Ireland and Europe for her custom pieces.

The Covid pandemic didn’t stop The Vibe – at the start of the first lockdown, Ciara immediately started work on The Vibe’s new online store to include a vast selection of fine piercing jewellery, aftercare products and vibe merchandise which now facilitates customers all over Ireland.
