Junk Kouture students makes living dress
Clodagh Ramsey, a second year student at Wilson’s Hospital School in Multyfarnham, has qualified for the regional finals of the Junk Kouture competition 2022 with her design, Bohemian Pampas Tree.
Her dress is actually living.
The 14-year-old from Killucan has planted black grasses in the dress and has live moss on it.
She intends to further recycle her dress at the end of the competition and, working with other students in her school, she will make a tiered plantbox, replant and showcase her design materials in a decorative way.
Clodagh’s aim is to highlight sustainable fashion.

Voting will be available in the next stages of the competition.
