50k Children of Ukraine Appeal

A chance to contribute to the urgent UNICEF appeal for the estimated 7.5 million children in danger in Ukraine is being combined with a chance to keep active this week.

Liz Glennon has organised a 50k run, walk, cycle challenge, which started yesterday, Saturday March 19, and runs till March 30.

“The event will afford many people an opportunity to get involved in a worthwhile activity in response to the heartrending information that we receive on a daily basis, telling us about how so many families are displaced,” said Liz.

Mullingar parkrun supporting the 50k Children of Ukraine Appeal yesterday, Saturday March 19.

“The need for food, clothes and medical supplies for mothers and children is urgent and critical.

“Your response to this will make such a real difference by walking, running or cycling 5k a day over the next 10 days.

“You can enlist the support of family and friends, you can do it as an individual, team or work group, showing solidarity with the suffering children in Ukraine.”

Sponsor cards, and registration and donation details are available from: Liz Glennon 087 3532043 or lizglennonwh@gmail.com.

All proceeds will be sent to the UNICEF Emergency Ukraine Appeal.
