Car enthusiasts from across the country descended on Kilbeggan for the annual celebration of American car culture.
After being forced to postpone the event in both 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, the organisers of the event decided to honour those who have departed in the past two years, as well as the emergency and frontline workers who helped keep the show on the road when the rest of us were in lockdown.
PRO Nick Strata said that the organisers wanted to do something special for this year's instalment of the event.
“It's kind of a comeback show and we decided to feature emergency vehicles in the show. There are fire engines, ambulances, there's black and white sheriffs' cars and there's a Ghostbusters ambulance.
"There are also a couple of other movie type police cars here. It's the only show that's American only, there aren't any others.
“We are just so fortunate to have it in Kilbeggan. People come from all over the island of Ireland for the show. For example, there are a lot of Northern Irish here. The Northern Ireland Mustang Club has come down in force. There are a lot of guys from Cork too.
“They all stay over in local hotels and B&Bs, which is good for the local area.”
