Draw for Westmeath ladies’ football championships made in TEG Cusack Park
Last year’s Westmeath ladies’ SFC finalists Milltown (champions) and St Mary’s, Rochfortbridge will become reacquainted when the 2022 competition kicks off on July 7 (7pm) at the earliest.
The draw for the county’s ladies’ senior, intermediate and junior football championships took place in TEG Cusack Park on Thursday evening last.
Mullingar Shamrocks have a bye in the first round, while St Loman’s, Mullingar meet Moate, while senior grade newcomers The Downs take on Garrycastle.
If the July 7 throw-in for the senior championship is unsuitable due to inter-county commitments, the first round of will be played on September 1 (6.30pm).
The intermediate championship is set to begin on Thursday July 14 (7pm), while the junior campaign gets off the ground on Friday July 15 (7pm) with Group 1 matches; Group 2 matches commmence the following Friday (July 22, 7pm).
In the senior ‘B’ competition, Group 1 and 2 matches begin on Saturday July 16.
