No perks yet for Central Park

The taking in charge of Central Park, Bishopsgate Street, Mullingar, has been going on for “donkey’s years”, complained Cllr Mick Dollard at the May meeting of Mullingar Kinnegad Municipal District.

He was told that there are outstanding works required to take the estate in charge.

Internal funding is being secured to complete those works and it is anticipated that they will start this year.

The mayor, Cllr Aoife Davitt, also welcomed this announcement.
