Mullingar family take part in Women's Mini Marathon to raise funds for IMNDA

A group of family and friends of a Mullingar man recently diagnosed with motor neurone disease took part in the VHI Women's Mini Marathon today to raise funds for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.

In a post on the crowdfunding website, givengain.com, Eamonn Dunne's daughter Jessica said that following his diagnosis her family has “ seen first hand the amazing work this organization does”.

“We would love to have an opportunity to give back,any donation is greatly appreciated!!”

Anong those taking part with Eamonn's group was Minister of State Robert Troy. He and a number of other men in the group put on some very eye catching outfits, as is the tradition for guys taking part in the mini marathon.

At the time of writing, the Dunne family had raised just over €14,500 and are hoping to break the €15,000 mark.
