Summer dates to keep free if you're a dog owner!

If you’re a dog lover and like to share your enthusiasm, you will have a few chances in the coming weeks and months.

On Sunday June 26, Streete Vintage Show is back, and the lineup for the day includes the popular pet show.

On Sunday July 10, Mullingar Agricultural Show is also back on the calendar, and there is a dog show there too.

The Mullingar one is sponsored by Mullingar Pet Hospital of Patrick Street, and entry details are available online (search Mullingar Agricultural Show).

There are a number of classes, for gun dogs (an all-Ireland qualifier); for spaniels; for guard dogs; for working dogs; for native Irish breeds; for puppies; for ‘dog I would like to take home’; and for fancy dress.

The show also includes qualifiers for the Gain Dog Food All-Ireland Championship.
