9th Westmeath Scout Group official investiture

The 9th Westmeath Scout Group, Milltownpass, held their first official investiture since the pandemic on Monday June 6.

The event is a major part of the calendar for Scouting, a welcoming ceremony for new members or members moving from one section to the next.

Fiona O’Shea, group leader, welcomed the family and friends of the Scouts and oversaw the ceremony held at Tudenham on Lough Ennell.

Beavers, Cubs and Scouts as well as new Scouters or leaders, were welcomed and announced their promises in front of their community of Scouts.

The group will break for the Summer in coming weeks and will recommence in early September.

They are currently recruiting leaders and members.
