Over 100 drugs detections at Body & Soul festival

There were over 100 drug detections at the Body & Soul festival in Ballinalough at the weekend.

While most of the detections were for simple possessions, more than 10 were in relation to the suspected sale and supply of drugs.

Speaking to the Westmeath Examiner, a garda spokesperson said that from a policing perspective the weekend was a success with only a small number of public order incidents.

This year's festival, the first in three years due to the pandemic, had a limited capacity of 5,500 people, a third of its usual capacity.
