A total of 23 on trolleys in Mullingar ED today

There are 23 people on trolleys in the Emergency Department of Mullingar Hospital today, Thursday.

That's according to figures released by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO), who said that nationally, a total of 381 admitted patients were waiting for beds this morning.

Of those, 329 patients were waiting in the emergency department, while 52 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
