Blanaid Adamson from Mullingar awarded VHI parkrun hero

The VHI parkrun hero award for the month of June has been awarded to Blanaid Adamson, from Mullingar.

The award aims to recognise and reward inspirational and dedicated members of the parkrun community who embody the ethos of the run or who have made an outstanding contribution.

Blanaid is one of the pillars of the event and according to her fellow runners, they would be lost without her.

She is often volunteering and helping others complete the distance with words of encouragement.

Blanaid always goes out of her way to support and invite newcomers along and she is truly dedicated to her community.

Congratulations Blanaid.
