LLPS offers another great variety of events for autumn
Local Live Performance Scheme IIII (August-October)
Following a call-out for participants for the newest Local Live Performance Schemes (LLPS), Westmeath Arts Office says that event organisers have once again come to the fore to offer a wide range of artistic performances to the Westmeath audience this autumn.
This scheme is part four in the series of the LLPS, which is funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, with the aim of supporting the recovery of the live performance sector through assisting local authorities to fund live performances and events of local artists, musicians, technicians and other professional practitioners.
Since it began in 2021, Westmeath County Council Arts Office have worked with event organisers throughout Westmeath to offer a huge range of performances, from music concerts and storytelling to circus acts, dance shows and musician placements in nursing homes and care settings.
The scheme has played a big part in revitalising the professional performing arts scene in Westmeath and many participants and audiences have referred to it as a vital support while the country began emerging from the restrictions of Covid-19.
