Car fire at Lough Lene this evening

Gardaí and the Fire Services attended at the scene of a car fire at Lough Lene this evening.

Eye witnesses have told us that when the car pulled in to the car park, people nearby saw flames underneath it.

They signalled to the driver to pull in.

The driver stopped and got out of the car, but the flames engulfed it, and, as the photos show, it was burnt out.

According to our eye witness, no one was hurt.
