President and Taoiseach attend state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II
The President and Taoiseach are among thousands of mourners in Westminster Abbey today for the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
World leaders, representatives of Commonwealth nations and charities are also among those attending.
Since her death on Thursday, September 8, hundreds of thousands of people have paid their respects to the monarch, who was the longest serving in British history.
Tributes have been paid and praise given for the work Queen Elizabeth II did to promote peace and reconciliation on the island of Ireland, particularly in recent decades.
Her state visit to Ireland in 2011 and her speech in Dublin Castle have been highlighted in particular.
