Ardmore Road due to re-open following works

There were detours in place at the Ardmore Road, Mullingar, today, Tuesday, at Saunders Bridge.

A spokesperson for Westmeath County Council said the road was closed to through traffic due to works taking place on kerbing along the route.

“There is new kerbing being laid on the northern side of a section of the Ardmore Road today. The road has been closed to through traffic. The road is open to local access from either end."

According to the Council, the road will be re-opened to traffic at approximately 4pm.

"Apologies for any inconvenience caused,” came the written response from the local authority.
