The craic was mighty at Ballymore Community Centre for the annual senior citizens group Christmas party on Friday December 9. The festivities kicked off with a Mass of remembrance, and that was followed by dinner, drinks and music by The Sheerin Family Band.
Fr Oliver Devine, parish priest for Drumraney and Ballymore, was pleased to be able to attend this year’s celebration as it had been called off for the last three years.
He said: “We were delighted to be all together. The meal and the dancing were fantastic as well as the music from Dan Sheerin and his family.
“The hospitality committee looked after everything and it was a great day.”
The event was supported by many local businesses and groups, including Ballymore GAA, SiP Coffee Garden and Ballymore Carpets and Furniture, who also provided spot prizes.
