Meet Erin the barn owl in Milltownpass this Friday

On Friday of this week, February 3, John Carrig, founder of the Barn Owl Project, is visiting Milltownpass to host a free community event on barn owl conservation.

John will bring along Erin, the barn owl to meet the locals.

The event, which has been organised by Milltownpass Tidy Towns, will provide information on barn owls in their habitats and the kinds of problems they face throughout the year.

Attendees will hear about what the community of Milltownpass is doing to encourage an increase in the local barn owl population.

According to John, “wildlife conservation is not just for the chosen few, but something we should all play a part in. No matter your age or background you can make a difference”.
