IWA Mullingar Fashion Show in Fairgreen Shopping Centre

Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) Mullingar is hosting a "star-studded" fashion show in the Fairgreen Shopping Centre next Saturday February 11.

The event, which is in partnership with the Fairgreen Shopping Centre and coordinator Dominika Kowalsk (DVS store manager) will see models, service users, celebrities and local emergency service members take to the runway with high street, boutique, and exclusive designs from some of Mullingar’s best known retail outlets showcased on the day.

IWA Mullingar co-ordinator Alice McDonnell says that the fashion show will be “an inclusive, fun, and accessible afternoon of fashion and music is promised as IWA is joined by special guests, including TV personality Alan McGarry”.

“We have several emergency services taking part, such as members of the ambulance and fire services in Mullingar and would welcome representation from the Garda.

“This is a community event aimed at inclusion and disability awareness, with fun for everyone

“Our goal is to grow our services and reach out to those who may not know about us and what we do. We want to create community awareness of disability, accessibility, and inclusion and need you.”

Irish Wheelchair Association Mullingar services work to support people with sensory and physical disabilities from the age of 18 year upwards. This includes transport, activities, educational programmes, advocacy, housing, holidays, day trips and events.
