On Wednesday, February 8, an almost full coach carrying BMB Active members and friends descended on the Grand Canal Docklands between Charlotte Quay and the River Liffey in Dublin to experience the Willie Russell musical, Blood Brothers in the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. The matinee show was at a perfect time and the audience were spellbound by the performers, especially Rebecca Storm. Mary Savage, Mary B Daly, Sheila Scally, and Rose and Tom O’Reilly outside the theatre.

This week is busy for BMB Active members and friends.
As well as the scheduled classes and events, such as cards in Connaughton’s, Rathowen, on Monday evenings, there is Go For Life at noon on Tuesdays; crafts and doll making with Sophie at 10.30am on Tuesdays; acrylics at 9.30am and Watercolours at noon with Mary Weir, and oil painting with Caithriona Devine at 10am on Thursdays; yoga with Vickie on Fridays, floor yoga 11am seated yoga at noon. Pickleball on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 10.30am, and Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm. All activities in Multyfarnham Community Centre. Some folks are struggling to re engage after the pandemic restrictions. Some have become a little more frail. Loneliness is a formula for a downward cycle of depression. If you know anyone who needs a nudge to participate, please encourage them to join us – as the song says, we are better together.
BMB Active AGM
On Thursday February 16, at 12.30pm in Multyfarnham Community Centre. It is an opportunity to have a say on ideas for day trips, or mini breaks, classes or activities that you would like to see organised by BMB Active. Perhaps you would like to join the committee or to propose someone who you know.

On Tuesday March 7, Eoin Clarke, solicitor, will address BMB Active at 10am on topics of interest to participants, including making a will, transferring property, and other legal matters people have questions about.
