Westmeath minor football squad named for new season

The Westmeath minor football squad for the new season has been named.

Multyfarnham's Matthew Thornton has been named as the squad's captain, while the team is managed by Eoghan Kevlihan (St Loman's, Mullingar)

The team will take on Meath in Kinnegad in Round 1 of the Leinster Championship next Wednesday April 5 at 7.30pm.

Joe Corroon (The Downs), Ciaran Goggins (Coralstown-Kinnegad), Ger O’ Donoghue (Garrycastle), John Tumelty (Tang) and Chris Cole (Bunbrosna) are the selectors. Alan McCormack (Kilbeggan Shamrocks) is team coordinator.

There are five dual players on the panel - Conor Daly, Conor Leech, Cormac McKeogh, Jack Murtagh and Neale Pierson.
