Mullingar pool reopens following essential works

Mullingar Swimming Pool has reopened following essential works.

The pool was closed to the public on Tuesday April 11 last.

Staff took to social media to say the facility would be closed until further notice, "due to circumstances out of our control".

Westmeath County Council issued a statement to the Westmeath Examiner, stating that the pool would reopen from 5.45pm on Thursday evening.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances Mullingar Swimming Pool had to close for essential repairs that were required over the last two days," read the Council statement.

"These repairs are now complete, and the pool reopens today [Thursday April 13] at 17:45 for its next public session as per the Easter Timetable below.”
