Bus Éireann building shelter at train station
Bus Éireann are currently in the process of upgrading Mullingar train station to improve accessibility for passengers.
The upgrades will include new bus shelters, lighting, paving and new accessible parking spaces, and are due to be completed in the coming months.
In a statement to the Westmeath Examiner, Bus Éireann said they are committed to the provision of a fully accessible public transport system incorporating fully accessible vehicles and infrastructure for their customers.
“Our commitment to accessibility is included in our Sustainability Strategy – Driving Change 2021-2030 where we pledge to deliver fully accessible vehicles, stations and main bus stops by 2030, supported by the National Transport Authority.”
