‘Forever missed but never forgotten’ - Peter Govan RIP

All of our club games were postponed last weekend, due to the passing of one of our club coaches.

Every one of us at Kinnegad Juniors was heartbroken at the passing of our friend, coach and long-serving club man Peter Govan. All of Peter’s children have played for the club and Peter has always been an amazing supporter to all club teams.

Peter was most recently coaching the current under 17 boys team. A lot of this team have been coached by Peter since they left the academy as the then U11 Titans team. His commitment, drive and care for all the lads was always evident and everybody will have strong, fond memories of their time with Peter. His sense of humour and selflessness were always evident to those around him.

Peter was often at the forefront of a lot of our fundraisers, instigating events to help others in need, as well as the club. His generosity knew no bounds – he was always thinking of others. He was a true community man.

All our love and sincere condolences go to Audrey, Sean, Shane, Ross and Caoimhe, and Peter’s extended family at this most difficult time.

Peter will be forever missed but never forgotten. May Peter Rest In Peace.
