WATCH: Ruaile Buaile's video for their new single
After years of requests from fans at live shows, Ruaile Buaile have released their own high-energy version of “The Bog”, (The Rattlin’ Bog) to all music platforms.
The video shows off the country side of the band's beloved midlands roots.
This unique twist of an old classic, has Ruaile Buaile’s signature written all over it.
High tempo, rooted in tenor banjo and fiddle, with the groups unmistakable vocals – it’s set to get the crowds moving and singing along. After great success with their version of Maniac 2000, this version of “The Bog” is sure to follow in its footsteps.
Shot by the talented Mark Bennett (Mullingar) under the watchful eye of Mick Bracken (Mullingar), the video is comedic, and highly entertaining thanks to the creative acting of Michael Buckley, with cameos from the five members of the group. The track was recorded, and mixed by Joe Egan in Nutshed Studios, Clara, with mastering by Aidan Cunningham, Tullamore.
The group formed in 2011. In 2021, world renowned musician Cathal Guinan (fiddle) joined the band, followed by Seán Bourke (banjo) in 2023. Along with original members, Ballinagore native Niall Kelly (vocals and guitar), Jack Godley (percussion) and Shane Lynam (vocals and bass), the quintet are entertaining audiences with a bigger than ever sound.
