Transport survey under way

A survey is under way in Westmeath to establish the extent of public transport provision within the county.

At the most recent meeting of the Municipal District of Mullingar Kinnegad, Cllr Denis Leonard asked for an update on the study.

The reply stated that following presentations received from the NTA/Local Link to the District earlier in 2023, it was agreed to complete an exercise with the members to identify current gaps in public transport provision in the district.

“Accordingly, a survey has been issued to the members for completion, once received this information will be collated and forwarded to NTA/Irish Rail for consideration,” the reply concluded.
