Midlands Career Expo 2023: connecting talent and opportunity

The largest jobs and careers expo in the midlands has announced a date for this year’s event – September 23, (9.30am-4.30pm) at the Mullingar Park Hotel.

The aim is to connect job seekers with employers from across the region and the organisers plan to feature a record number of employers seeking to attract talent and offering new career paths and opportunities.

The event, previously held in 2019, attracted more than 2,000 people and gained recognition as a premier career fair in the region. It attracted a wide array of employers and candidates, and industries represented included technology, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, hospitality, and more.

“We are pleased to announce the Midlands Career Expo 2023 and provide job seekers with a platform to connect with leading employers in the region,” said Allyson English, president, Mullingar Chamber.

“We are committed to facilitating meaningful connections between talented individuals and career opportunities, and we are confident that this year’s event will surpass all expectations.

"With a growing diversity in skills now demanded by employers, the event aims to attract talent from all education levels and backgrounds, professionals from all sectors, as well as those aspiring to join apprenticeship programmes.”

Attendees will have direct access to a wide range of local and national employers seeking talented people to join their teams. From entry-level positions to executive roles, job seekers will have the opportunity to interact with recruiters, submit resumes, and participate in on-the-spot interviews. The expo provides an excellent environment for networking, and expanding professional connections.

The event will have expert speaker sessions on topics such as apprenticeships, wellbeing and women in STEM.

Admission to the Midlands Career Expo 2023 is free for job seekers, making it an inclusive event open to everyone.
