Raharney tree will be replaced in Q4 – council
There was a series of positive responses to issues raised by the mayor, Cllr John Shaw, at the June meeting of the Municipal District of Mullingar Kinnegad.
He asked that a dead tree close to Weir’s shop in Raharney be replaced and was told it will be done in Q4 of 2023, in the planting season. Cllr Shaw also asked that a flooding issue at Clonickilvant, Killucan be investigated, and was told it will be considered as part of the 2024 estimates.
A further request made by the mayor was that dangerous holes in the Green area at Ashcroft Park, Raharney be filled, and to that, the response was that the work will be carried out within the next two weeks.
Cllr Shaw also asked that the district cut back the verge on the Kinnegad road, Killucan, to improve visibility, and was informed that contractors had been appointed for verge cutting and this work will be completed in the coming weeks.
