Water refill point needed at Fore
Queries relating to Clonlost, Streamstown, Clondrisse and Fore were raised with officials of the Municipal District of Mullingar Kinnegad by Cllr Frank McDermott at the June recent meeting.
Cllr McDermott asked of the "constant ponding" east of the piggery gate on the Clonlost Road can be corrected, and was told that work will be considered as part of the 2024 estimates.
Seeking further assurance that the work will be given positive consideration, Cllr McDermott stressed that the location is quite dangerous.
Regarding Streamstown, Cllr McDermott asked when the road into the village will be repaired. To that, the response was that the issue will be examined and considered for repair in the coming months, depending on available funding.
The need for a water refill station at Fore was also raised by Cllr McDermott, and the district’s reply was that "future funding will be considered" for the facility.
At the same meeting, Cllr McDermott asked that the bad bump on the road close to Matty Ford’s Cross at Clondrisse be repaired. The district undertook to have the repairs carried out "within the next six weeks".
