Bina to represent Westmeath at the Nose of Tralee!
Bina, a one-year-old dachshund, has been voted as the Westmeath Nose of Tralee for 2023.
Dragana Ružic from Moate entered her dog Bina after seeing an advertisement for the Nose of Tralee on Facebook.
Bina, despite only being a puppy, has “the personality of an old man. She loves to lounge in the sun and bark at kids. She loves having a full belly and stealing bits off your plate of dinner. She poses any time you hold a camera in front of her and knows her angles. She's definitely a lady when she wants to be.”
The Nose of Tralee, which is sponsored by Pet Sitters Ireland and Tesco, is now in its 10th year.
Bina was voted by the public to represent Westmeath, and voting for the final will open next week, on August 3. Anyone can vote, and all voting takes place online. People can cast one vote per day. The winner will be announced on August 22.
The winner of the Nose of Tralee gets a €250 Pet Sitting and Dog Walking voucher, a €500 Tesco voucher, and a photoshoot with David Macauley Photography.
Dragana said that the competition is “obviously really cute but really fun as well.”
“Its well worth it for people to enter, and its so nice to see all the amazing entries!”
