Part of Harbour Street closed for rest of this week

Harbour Street, Mullingar is closed from this morning till 6pm on Saturday, August 19, for works.

Westmeath County Council say the reason for the closure is to facilitate a sewerage connection for Omniplex Cinema.

There is local access and access to the main car park at Harbour Place Shopping Centre.

Mullingar Omniplex is operating as normal.

Alternative routes are via L-1001 (Longford Rd), L-2705 (Green road), L-1000 (Cathedral View), R-392 (Dominick Street), R-392 (Oliver Plunkett Street), R-392 (Pearse Street), L-1001 (Castle Street) and L-1001 (Harbour Street).

Detour signs are in place.
