My fleadh: Niall Quinn, Mullingar Tidy Towns

How was your fleadh, were you busy?

I really enjoyed the fleadh; the music was amazing and lovely to listen to as well. The days I worked with Mullingar Tidy Towns were very busy, but I like working with them.

Did you get time to enjoy the music and the different sights and sounds?

Yes, I did, as we were on holiday from the Link, where we are based. I especially loved the street music, and the food was delicious. The whole town was alive and buzzing.

How would you compare this year's fleadh to 2022?

I really liked last year’s event, but this year was much better, as I loved working with Mullingar Tidy Towns and listening to all the musicians playing and all the dancers on our streets.

What are your standout memories from the fleadh?

My standout memory from this year’s fleadh was how wonderful and kind the visitors who came to Mullingar were – everyone we met had kind words for us and thanked us for doing our work, and made me feel very special to be part of this event for Mullingar.
