My fleadh: Evan Cunningham, Mullingar Tidy Towns
How was your fleadh, were you busy?
My experience of the fleadh is that it was amazing, and there were beautiful people and beautiful music on the streets. I volunteered two days with Mullingar Tidy Towns, and I have to say, they were the best two days ever. We were litter-picking throughout the town, and it was busy but everyone was very helpful to us. We even got a delicious burger from chef Eamonn McGowan up at the Green Bridge.
Did you get time to enjoy the music, and the different sights and sounds?
Yes, I did, and I really enjoyed it all, from the music on the streets to Blackhall, where the main stage was. It was amazing, and the lights at night time were amazing too.
How would you compare this year's fleadh to 2022?
This year was unbelievable. I also helped last year with Mullingar Tidy Towns and we were busy last year, but this year there were more people in our town for the fleadh.
What are your standout memories from the fleadh?
Watching all the crowds enjoying themselves and all the musicians playing wonderful music on our streets.
