Green-fingered Pat wins again at Clonaslee Show

Congrats to green fingered Pat McGuire from Gaulstown, who claimed two first prizes, including a Best in Show for his stunning dahlias, at the Clonaslee Agricultural Show on September 10.

Pat's success at the County Laois show, one of his favourites as it is a “proper old show” continues the talented gardener's rich vein of form this summer, which included first prizes for his coloured potatoes at last month's Moate Show and at Trim Agricultural Show a few weeks later.

Pat is one of the best known faces on the agricultural show circuit, travelling to events across the country and picking up prizes wherever he goes.

Unlike an increasing number of his fellow show competitors who grow their produce in poly-tunnels, Pat grows all of his produce outside in his garden.
