Tidy Towns announce shopfront display competition winners
Smiddy's Bar, Clarke's Bar and Topic Newsagents are the winners of the Mullingar Tidy Towns Shopfront Display Competition for 2023.
In a statement released this week, Mullingar Tidy Towns paid tribute to the winners and other participating businesses for the efforts to brighten up Mullingar this summer.
“Mullingar was awash with an array of colours, showcasing the outstanding efforts of local businesses in enhancing the visual charm of the town. Mullingar Tidy Town extend their gratitude to all who submitted nominations. The high standard of displays this year made the selection of winners a truly tough decision.
“These deserving winners have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to maintaining visually appealing shopfronts, adding to the vibrancy and allure of Mullingar.
“We would like to express our gratitude to our sponsors, whose generous support makes this competition possible year after year. Our heartfelt thanks go to Buckleys Supervalu, Mullingar Chamber of Commerce and Slanemore Nurseries. Their dedication to the enhancement of Mullingar town's aesthetic appeal is a cornerstone of the success of this annual event.”
Mullingar Tidy Towns also extended special commendations to Canton Caseys and the Greville Arms Hotel for their continuous and outstanding displays year after year.
“Their commitment sets a high standard for the entire town, demonstrating the positive impact that a well-maintained shopfront can have on the overall ambiance of the town,” Mullingar Tidy Towns said.
Tidy Towns chairperson Bill Collentine said that “it is a credit to all the businesses that the town looks so well”.
