Milltownpass group to erect gravestone for Dr Fox

The Milltownpass Active Retirement Group are holding a raffle to raise funds to erect a headstone and surround on the grave of Dr Billy Fox, RIP.

A spokesperson for the group said that Dr Fox had devoted his working life to his patients: “He was so good, he went out any hour of the day or night, and half the time he didn’t charge. He went as far as Delvin, Killucan, Raharney, a huge area, and as a tribute, we’re collecting to put up the headstone and surrounding at his grave.”

They are asking the wider community to support their efforts. The raffle is on Wednesday October 18 at noon, in the community hall, during the active retirement social morning. The cost is €10 per line.
