Great to see things getting back to normal, says Rochfortbridge principal
There were smiling faces and much to celebrate when the Junior Cycle results were opened in St Joseph’s Secondary School in Rochfortbridge yesterday.
This was the school’s largest Junior Cycle class to date, at 200 students, and the faculty were delighted see them all achieve so well.
Principal Margaret Cole said: “We are delighted with our Junior Cycle students and their results, and we are so proud of their achievements across the full suite of Junior Cycle subjects.
“The results are excellent. We are thrilled to see several higher merits (75-90%) and distinctions (90% plus) in a number of subjects. All students achieved to their full potential and for the students, their families and for us, that is what is important.
“It is great to see things getting back to normal. The fact that this year’s group experienced the exams as we traditionally know them will definitely stand to them when they progress to their Leaving Certificate. It will prepare them and it will not be as daunting for them.”
